NORTH DORSET FOLK FESTIVAL celebrates it's 6th year in 2017. As (probably...) the smallest festival of it's kind in the UK it prides itself both on the presentation of fantastically talented artists and the intimate surroundings of the hall which allow the audience to be totally absorbed by the performances. Being recognised by both artists and audiences as one of the most up close and personal festivals, you can be sure that the day will leave a lasting impression on everyone with wonderful, lingering memories of the finest folk, roots and acoustic music. The festival opens at midday with the music starting at around 12.30pm. We expect to finish around 10.30pm. There is a bar and food available all day with plenty of free parking on site.

Past headliners have included Brendan Power and Tim Edey, Emily Barker and The Red Clay Halo, Philip Henry and Hannah Martin, Nizlopi and Martin Simpson (pictured).

Firstly we'd like to thank all the artists and the audience for making the 6th North Dorset Folk Festival such an amazing and memorable day. Thanks and gratitude also to all those who helped with setting up and running the festival - it simply would not happen without you!

Now for the sad part... As announced at the festival, the 6th will be last, at least for the time being. Due to the varied demands and timings of my day job I simply cannot dedicate any particular date to running the festival next year. I will, given the opportunity, always look to set up something in the future if at all possible and will certainly let those on the mailing list know.

North Dorset Folk Festival has given a lot of pleasure to many people over the years - it has been a privilege to witness wonderful musicians along with the appreciation and admiration of the audiences. Hopefully we'll see you around somewhere...

All the Best,
